x2f_mpi: A PACKAGE FOR PARALLEL FUNCTION EVALUATION

Liuyan Lu, Steven R. Lantz, Stephen B. Pope, December 2006

x2f_mpi is a Fortran 90 library for parallel function evaluation. It implements different distribution strategies described in "Computationally efficient implementation of combustion chemistry in parallel PDF calculations" by L. Lu, S.R. Lantz, Z. Ren and S.B. Pope, Cornell University report FDA 07--02.

Early versions of x2f_mpi are described in "Investigation of strategies for the parallel implementation of ISAT in LES/FDF/ISAT computations", by L. Lu, Z. Ren, S.R. Lantz, V. Raman, S.B. Pope and H. Pitsch (2005), 4th Joint Meeting of the U.S. Sections of the Combustion Institute, Philadelphia, PA and "LES/FDF/ISAT computations of turbulent flames", by L. Lu, Z. Ren, V. Raman, S.B. Pope and H.Pitsch (2004), Proceedings of the Summer Program 2004, Center For Turbulence Research.

The x2f_mpi software may be downloaded and used for non-commercial academic and government research. It may not be re-distributed. In publications based on the use of this implementation, we request that, in addition to the paper, you also reference this website, i.e., "x2f_mpi: A PACKAGE FOR PARALLEL FUNCTION EVALUATION", L. Lu, S.R. Lantz, S.B. Pope (2006), http://tcg.mae.cornell.edu/x2f_mpi.

The file README.txt contains basic instructions on downloading, installing and using x2f_mpi. The full download is contained in the file x2f_mpi_pack.zip.
